Roe Teenage Crush

This seedling was our go to for events such as weddings. It is super vigorous with long stems. It puts out gorgeous 4" blush blooms growing at about 4- 4.5 feet tall. We were still debating if we should release this beauty because we felt it did not have enough petals but after careful consideration, a few friends telling us to keep growing it and to release it, we've decided to go ahead and ramp up production this year and release it for the 2026 season.

Then came the arduous task of naming this beauty. Whether it be a funny name or something serious, we wanted to be intentional when naming our dahlias. We knew this dahlia is an event flower. It is absolutely beautiful but it opens its center much sooner than we would like. The color is also very reminiscent of someone blushing whenever they see their crush, hence the name teenage crush. Teenage crushes also don't last very long so we thought the name fits.
